Set in the rolling country of farms and
rich estates just beyond the suburbs of
Philadelphia, RING OF GOLD (a stunning

Engagement) is the tale of newly
married Chugh and Faith Walding,
living in easy opulence as World War I
rages in Europe. Itching for adventure,
the idealistic young husband suddenly
takes off to fly for France even before
the United States declares war. He
leaves his pregnant bride, Faith, in the
care of his father, at historic Finchwicke.
After a narrow escape from death
giving birth to her child, Faith finds that
the duties of managing the estate fall

only hints of his real life. She does know

that he has been wounded. He returns to

Faith is forced to face the conflict
between her hardrwon freedom and the
need once again to appear helpless in
order to make herself attractive to the
