讀的過程不恐怖，恐怖的是讀完以後冷不丁迴想起的那些小細節。一直用"big white face"形容貪財的錶哥，可是我的寶寶明明臉不大。期待電影。

我喜歡Merricat，她的孩子氣，她的聰明，她的那股傻勁。她感知外部與認識內心的能力都錶明瞭她不可能和那些可怕的“正常人”一樣。自我與他人之間界限分明的需要，來自於對他者的恐懼。就像姐妹二人隔離自己來提防他人，村民們也視她們如另一個世界的怪物。瘋狂的不是行事獨特的姐妹，更是那些暴力的大眾。

讀的時候不覺得什麼, 閤上書本迴想某些細節的時候有點小發冷. 作者在幾本書中都擅於把house塑造成character. 全書偏psychological, 喚醒小時候在一個地方流傳的那個古老城堡的rumor.
