In an estate called La Isla, not far from Havana, lives a small community haunted by an invisible threat. In one of its large, run-down houses called Mas Aca, surrounded by exotic vegetation and ghostly statues and fountains, a family awaits an event which will forever shake them out of their inertia. Meanwhile, a series of minor and apparently harmless incidents happen, threatening the reality made up of memories, symbols, and hopes. The turbulent tropical setting electrifies the inhabitants of La Isla, guiding them towards a destiny that follows the whims of an omnipotent being. Who is this Supreme Being? Did He send the disturbing young man who comes from that isolated area called Mas Alla?
