Graham regrets the Western neglect of Russian philosophy of scienceof the pervasive effect of dialectical materialism on the perspective of both scientist and philosopher. After providing a history and overview of that philosophy in the Soviet Union, he painstakingly traces its effects in genetics, physiology, and psychology, biology, cybernetics and computers, chemistry, quantum mechanics, relativity physics, and cosmology/cosmogony.
