After a failed restaurant venture in London, food writer Rohan Daft packed his bags for Barcelona. He had no plans but to "have a break and see what happens" and spent his days in the foreign city exploring the city's markets and learning to prepare local foods. Soon, his sense of adventure and newfound love for the flavours of Spain took him on a crisscrossing, haphazard journey across his adopted country in search of regional delicacies, out of the way restaurants, and stories to tell about them. Many hitched rides later, he has a book of more than a 100 recipes with accompanying history and anecdotes that contains essence of everyday, no fuss, classic Spanish eating.
