评分Cesaire1966年的劇本創作，寫的是主張剛果統一卻因殖民帝國角力與當地權力鬥爭而被暗殺的被稱之為剛果國父的Patrice Lumumba的悲劇故事。Cesaire的Negritude運動一向與Pan-Africanism關係緊密，Congo又在許多文學作品中被勾勒為黑人的motherland，可以想見1961年Lumumba被戕害之事引起多大的關注與哀悼，為了向之致敬，Cesaire創作了此一劇本。全書不同於Roi Christophe，都用真名，指涉性與意圖明顯。
