对于启蒙主题的讨论，已经谈论了不少了。而贝克却另辟蹊径，对于启蒙哲人们的历史著作进行了讨论。根据启蒙哲人对于历史的讨论，揭示出启蒙哲学一方面反对传统，另一方面却有同宗教传统一道对历史进行肆意的解读，从而达到重构历史解释的目的。在这个角度上，贝克对于启蒙运动...  

这本书其实是合集，除了《18世纪哲学家的天城》（以下简称天城）还包括了卡尔·贝克尔另外两篇文章。但我这里仅仅只是针对《天城》而言。 《天城》让我想起了邓晓芒的一篇论文，名字忘了，但二者明显有联系（说不定我就是在邓晓芒的那篇论文里知道了这本书），邓文的主要意思...  

贝克尔认为，18世纪启蒙运动的哲学家们（Philosophe）的所谓“理性时代”是以新的材料（如人道）来重新建筑另一座中世纪奥古斯丁式的“天城”/“上帝之城”，对旧传统的破除并没有另辟蹊径使用一套完全不一样的东西，而是在比如将上帝置换为后世、重视经验事实这些过程中发展出...  

好看，Becker的可读性非常强。作为一部思想史的著作，本书试图证18世纪philosophe的时代并非与中世纪截然不同的理性时代，相反他们“砸烂了奥古斯丁的天城”，只不过用更时行的材料来重建它们罢了。 18世纪的理性与宗教式的热忱并不矛盾，相反它们相互结合。哲学家们并非“客观...
