评分這套叢書裏麵寫得相對較差的一本，基本上是文學史梳理，但是allegory在不同作者那裏地位的起伏也是相當有啓發的，在布萊剋，柯勒律治那裏的貶低到波德萊爾、本雅明和德曼那裏的重新發現這段曆史的講述很受用。在西方思想史裏麵，實際上是先有allegoresis(寓意解經)之後纔有有意識的allegory創作。(另外，什麼時候纔能看到張隆溪的那本同名英文著作啊。
