Dan graduated from the University of Utah with a MS in business and from Brigham Young University with a BS in sociology. From July 1997 until November 2006, he was president and owner of iTera, Inc., an international software development company. Prior to iTera, from 1991 to 1997, Dan owned 50 percent of Assist Cornerstone Technologies, a software development company that focused on the development of financial and wholesale distribution systems. Dan served a full-time mission in Argentina for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has had many callings since then that include, elders quorum president, high priests group leader, counselor in a bishopric, Sunday School teacher, Sunday School president, Young Men advisor, ward mission leader, and high priests group instructor.
