A group of peasants has decided to reclaim the fertile lands appropriated by a small number of magnates. The conflict could trigger violence and death, not only because the region is made up of a series of barren lands studded by oasis of striking green, but because of the still open wounds of a past filled with abuse, exploitation and poverty. Manuel Menueco, an efficient government employee, is sent to mediate the explosive situation. Immerse in the prickly climate of the conflict, he must also face the nightmare of his personal issues.
