It also includes chapters on the legal and ethical issues to give the health care worker a general view on diseases that are not only scientific riddles, but also the cause of affliction of many patients and of their families. Recently several major new advances in understanding have been made and are covered in this volume (for example the progranulin mutation and the role of TDP-43).
