當年有爭議的一個gay pastiche現在看來其實像一部寫的優美的清水文，就是在語言和含蓄方麵更像published work。跟以正直殺腐為己任但是充滿OOC和bug的House of Silk相比，這本其實還更多點官方同人的風範。案情有點單薄。不是弟控的麥哥真不習慣。。。

感覺作為casefic不太閤格，但作為上世紀就齣版的古早同人文中規中矩……放在ao3上也是不會特彆齣彩的水準吧（。）

'My Dearest Holmes was first published in 1988, when the public perception of Sherlock Holmes was still largely rooted in the Basil Rathbone era, and media response led to headlines such as 'Sherlock Homo!' and 'Elementary, My Queer Watson!'. Times have changed, however, and when it was re-published in 2007 the book received a much more sympathetic response. Today, the most recent Sherlock Holmes movie has opened up the debate about the relationship between Holmes and Watson yet again; and this non-explicit romance captures the subtext of the original Doyle stories both delicately and persuasively.

作为一篇1988年就出版的……文，咳，我不得不说它写的还是相当可以的。虽然看的时候我不断笑到趴一边拍桌这也太狗血了……但是，至少它没有很OOC，我已经很满足了，咳…… 我得说后来很多作者都是从“挖掘原著字里行间不为人知的blablabla”这个角度来开发道尔爵士的Conan的，...
