米兰·昆德拉（MILAN KUNDERA 1929— ）

一九二九年出生于捷克斯洛伐克布尔诺，父亲是钢琴家、音乐学院校长，昆德拉在童年时就受到良好的音乐熏陶和教育。

一九六七年，他的第一部长篇小说《玩笑》在捷克出版，获得巨大成功，从此奠定在当代文坛的重要地位。一九七五年，昆德拉离开捷克，定居法国，他的长篇小说《生活在别处》、《告别圆舞曲》、《笑忘录》、《不能承受的生命之轻》，以及短篇小说集《好笑的爱》的原作以捷克文写成；长篇小说《慢》、《身份》和《无知》，还有随笔集《小说的艺术》、《被背叛的遗嘱》和《相遇》的原作以法文写成。另著有戏剧《雅克和他的主人》。

昆德拉曾于一九七三年凭借《生活在别处》获得美第奇外国文学奖，一九八五年获得耶路撒冷文学奖，二〇〇一年获得法兰西学院文学大奖。
