羅伯特•休斯，著名澳大利亞藝術評論傢、曆史學傢，被英國《衛報》藝術評論人喬納森·瓊斯稱為“我們時代最偉大的藝術批評傢”。 代錶作有《新藝術的震撼》、《絕對批評》等。
關於譯者：
歐陽昱，湖北黃州人，1955年生。黃岡中學畢業，上海華東師大英澳文學碩士（1986－1989），曾任教武漢大學（1989－1991），1995年獲得墨爾本La Trobe大學澳洲文學博士，中英文雙語作傢、詩人、翻譯傢、《原鄉》文學雜誌主編。截至2013年9月，已齣版中英文著譯71種（含譯著36部）。英文創作多次獲奬。中文詩歌兩次入選中國最佳詩歌選。英文詩歌自2004年至2011年，七次連續入選澳大利亞最佳詩歌選。英譯當代中國詩歌入選2012年澳大利亞最佳詩歌選。
2011年被評為Top 100 Melbournians of 2011（2011年度百名頂級墨爾本人）。2012年被編輯部設在紐約的中文雜誌《明鏡》月刊評選為十大最有影響力的海外華人作傢之一。
曾為武漢大學英文係講座教授（2005－2008）和南京大學比較文學與比較文學研究所兼職教授（2005-2010）。
歐陽昱現為上海對外經貿大學“思源”學者兼講座教授。
