Most definitely not for the overly serious or pompous reader, this tale of two men disappearing down a lavatory pan to find themselves in a different and most decidedly insanely imaginative world, is for amusement only - and that it provides aplenty. From the beginning to the end it provides a laugh a minute with its parade of characters cavorting in and out in mostly light-hearted manner; although it does have its serious undertones at times. The Author's two protagonists meet with dangers and hazards galore as they take the reader on their adventurous journey with them into the depths of the Land of Steg - a land with a language all its own and for which the Author has thoughtfully provided an English-Steg dictionary at the back of the book. It is packed with inventiveness as the reader is introduced to mayhem and confusion; dangers and hazards; colourful and vividly described characters; and the fearful feather battles, to mention but a few. It also has some beautifully described scenery and some poignant moments. Superbly written and compiled this book is a joy to read and an absolute essential to dip into on those dull dreary days when life seems just too serious to contemplate. M.C. Reed brings sunshine into the literary world and has two more books already in the pipeline for our delight and enjoyment: "Gulpot's Wisdom" and "Undertaking (and other Furry Tales)"
