欽努阿·阿契貝（Chinua Achebe）,1930年生於尼日利亞。著名小說傢、詩人和評論傢，尼日利亞乃至非洲最著名的作傢之一。以尼日利亞伊博族人民獨立前後的生活為題材的“尼日利亞四部麯”是其代錶作。其中《瓦解》在1958年發錶後，即獲得布剋奬，是非洲文學中被最廣泛閱讀的作品。

他的文筆懇切深沉，反映瞭非洲社會與殖民地政治的現實，備受國際矚目。英國《獨立報》稱他是非洲最偉大的小說傢。

这本书读来不免有些枯燥。因为书中描述的生活离我好远好远。脑海中勾勒的画面也大多受到电视上所播出的非洲纪录片的影响。初读此类书，只能感叹这种生活竟然在现代的生活中仍然存在，尤其受最近苹果之父乔布斯去世消息的感染，在我感受现代科技为生活带来翻天覆地变化的同时，...
