Tom Claffey interviewed numerous truckers (men and women) while developing the story of Sally Tremaine and Dixie O'Donnell (aka Hoot 'N' Holler). In addition to spending time in a rig, he visited truck stops across the United States, including the famed Iowa 80 Truckstop. Tom and his wife Sylvia live in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
