John, Ray and Ari are old friends from college, so involved in their careers that they haven't seen each other in a year. They decide to renew their friendship with a weekend trip to their favorite hideaway in northern New Hampshire. Soon after arrival the three friends encounter a bizarre and mysterious alien device. Attempts to determine the purpose of the device only serve to deepen the puzzle. The companions find themselves faced with a difficult decision: Pursue the seemingly impossible and perilous mission alone, or turn the device over to the government and risk being excluded from the adventure?
