Jacques GuÉrin was a prominent businessman at the head of his family's successful perfume company, but his real passion was for rare books and literary manuscripts. 在书店就着一杯咖啡 两个小时读完 内容很浅 虽然足够有趣 作者野心再大一点 其实可以写出一部类似the aspern papers的作品哩 就看从哪个角度切入 是收藏家和卖家之间的互相角力(from the start, the relationship was tinged with a kind of sadism)，卖家和普鲁斯特弟媳妇之间的秘密奸情，或者，我觉得最深刻的是收藏家Jacques Guerin自己的恋物癖好，他后来资助的让热内在自己的著作上献辞...by proclaiming the joy i feel in knowing a reader for whom fetishism is a religion. 加上他的同志背景，实在有很大的发掘空间
