Jacques GuÉrin was a prominent businessman at the head of his family's successful perfume company, but his real passion was for rare books and literary manuscripts. 评分在書店就著一杯咖啡 兩個小時讀完 內容很淺 雖然足夠有趣 作者野心再大一點 其實可以寫齣一部類似the aspern papers的作品哩 就看從哪個角度切入 是收藏傢和賣傢之間的互相角力(from the start, the relationship was tinged with a kind of sadism)，賣傢和普魯斯特弟媳婦之間的秘密奸情，或者，我覺得最深刻的是收藏傢Jacques Guerin自己的戀物癖好，他後來資助的讓熱內在自己的著作上獻辭...by proclaiming the joy i feel in knowing a reader for whom fetishism is a religion. 加上他的同誌背景，實在有很大的發掘空間
