单个主角的书果然比前两本好看，但是Lisa是凶手好像一开始就可以估计到，居然是用气球做诱饵，让受害者抬头，然后榔头敲死。而且还杀了自己的老公埋在花园里。还派Herb去找人殴打Mickey。但是奇怪的是，没钱付房贷月供，居然有钱把自己保释出来。疑似小小漏洞。Mickey在书的结尾的时候居然要去竞选DA。书名就是援引fifth修正案来拒绝作证以免自证其罪的证人。

这本legal thriller并没有特别thrilling的地方，最后的真相也并不是特别意外。寥寥几笔提了一下犯人作案和利用律师逃脱罪名的过程，但怎么想都有很多牵强的地方。在我看来整本书倒像是从第一天到最后一天的庭审实录，让我第一次直观并详细地理解了美国刑事案件审理流程和法官公诉人被告人律师的职责义务。trial.hearing. cross-examination. sidebar. Fifth Amendment rights. rebuttal 等这些单词的意思终于清晰了。
