從40年代開始，Lillian_Bassman成為紐約知名時尚攝影師。本書集中呈現她所拍攝的女性內衣主題攝影，皆為黑白照片。作為一名女性攝影師，其畫麵講求形式，內容講究情境，盡求唯美，似乎還融入瞭一些女性特有的夢幻敘事，以及五十年代特有的優雅。而穿內衣的嬌美女郎，很難不引發男性讀者的豐富想象。竪條開本，多幅大圖跨頁齣血印刷，使得畫麵被中縫破壞，稍顯遺憾。
