Polyu has established a social design programme attempting to expand the scope of design beyond the current commercialised and compartmentalised professional practices by orienting towards the ‘social dimension of design’, with emphasis on civic participation, social engagement and collaborative design practices.
评分這本書嚴格來說有點水，作者隻是搜羅編撰瞭20個案例，缺少深度和係統性，能夠收獲多少就看讀者自己瞭。但是從另一方麵講，這本書提醒瞭我，雖然DT講究的是“小d”設計，但是不應該矯枉過正地忽略傳統意義上的設計可以發揮的作用，而且這些案例多少還是能起到開闊視野的作用，有幾個案例也足夠comprehensive。另外，作者對案例做的概況很實用，而且書的裝幀也很讀者友好。
