作為英文的簡易讀書，是一個很好的選擇係列，作者是一個相當多産的學者，從這個係列裏可以瞭解很多非洲的獨立後的一些人問的氣息，算得上我早些瞭解非洲的讀物，我是對於整個世界都是充滿著好奇的，但現在來說，如果沒有腳踏實地的走在這個角落，那麼閱讀無疑是一個幫助我們瞭解世界的工具，其實這些小書讀起來對於語法和詞匯的感覺是非常棒的，這使我想起來我初中階段如飢似渴的讀中文的小說的緣故，可惜那個時候自己沒有足夠多的資源和係統的進行梳理，現在來看，這個係列真的是難得的好的係列，也是很標準的旅行書籍。綫索等很容易找到，理解起來不是很費力，生詞也很有限，記得一定要用英文的詞典來找翻譯。中文詞典的翻譯不一定會十分精確。
