真心佩服此人，为了解码人的潜意识而对梦境和神话进行严肃的研究。就像他自己说的，梦和神话的意义本身是相对甚至虚无的，玄幻到有时读得后背冒凉风……但是作为反应人现实状况的途径，它们可以是一门严肃的科学。这种冲破意识形态桎梏的胆量和洞见，可以借鉴到现实的方方面面。

挺喜欢荣格的，这本书主要是对神话、集体无意识的几个案例分析，也显示出他企图这些概念体系化的愿望。第三个关于童话故事的分析是心理学文本分析的佳例。书里也无不透露出他对宗教、各国文化历史的研究者极致的博学。
