I enjoyed “these homespun American tales, bits of real life in the open ranch, in crowded tenement or comfortable home, and all with an undercurrent...” of longing for purpose. “I must read them.” I must read them all.

评分除瞭The undefeated 和A pursuit race看不懂之外，彆的都算馬虎，喜歡In another country，Che ti dice la patria和A simple enquiry，尤其是A simple enquiry裏邊major最後一句“The little devil，i wonder if he lied to me.” 意味深長啊（橘貓臉）。
评分17年讀完的第一本書，mark一下。比起現在大行其道的“喪”感文學來，海明威這位老牌的迷茫硬漢絕對稱得上是哀而不傷
