the way of the whore

Sometimes I hate to be told that there's another version of the story.But this is not the case with Sister Carrie.The only character I appreciate is Ames yet he has only been given such short accounts!!

i really hate the plot when male is manipulating female, which makes me feel so bad. I was glad to see at last carrie won the game of three, but her desire to climb up will one day hold her back cuz desire is without limit. But the role of newspapers in the book is worth scrutiny for sure

十年前看过，但现在却有了更深刻的感受，书中描写了在美国资本主义原始积累阶段一个乡下女孩的去城市中谋生的故事。现在，这种故事在我们国家每天都在上演。据说，十一五计划的五年中，每年将有几千万农村人口进入城市。中国的嘉莉妹妹将大量出现在你我的身边，进入我们的生活。  

每每看到好的作品，若不写点感受，心里就憋地慌…… 这是部很成功的作品，即使是放在当下的时代环境里来看，仍能让人受益匪浅。 从一个聪明漂亮的农村姑娘到大剧院里的名角儿。这一路走来，嘉莉无疑是幸运的，让人感叹命运的力量；但同时这也是嘉莉的性格使然，她并不怨天尤...  

也说《嘉莉妹妹》 《嘉莉妹妹》“坏”在哪里？ 《嘉莉妹妹》写成伊始被认为是“伤风败俗”的道德理由，在今天看来都不值一提了。其实即便在那时，书中那些有违道德风尚的人物关系和行为都不应成为指摘此书的口实，生活中这样的事例比比皆是。然而《嘉莉妹妹》“坏”在更为根...
