十年前看过，但现在却有了更深刻的感受，书中描写了在美国资本主义原始积累阶段一个乡下女孩的去城市中谋生的故事。现在，这种故事在我们国家每天都在上演。据说，十一五计划的五年中，每年将有几千万农村人口进入城市。中国的嘉莉妹妹将大量出现在你我的身边，进入我们的生活。

i really hate the plot when male is manipulating female, which makes me feel so bad. I was glad to see at last carrie won the game of three, but her desire to climb up will one day hold her back cuz desire is without limit. But the role of newspapers in the book is worth scrutiny for sure
评分可能对美国社会的反映有其独到之处，不过当一个作者的价值体系实在和自己的相差太大，读起来就很不舒服。

评分Sometimes I hate to be told that there's another version of the story.But this is not the case with Sister Carrie.The only character I appreciate is Ames yet he has only been given such short accounts!!
