Sometimes I hate to be told that there's another version of the story.But this is not the case with Sister Carrie.The only character I appreciate is Ames yet he has only been given such short accounts!!

i really hate the plot when male is manipulating female, which makes me feel so bad. I was glad to see at last carrie won the game of three, but her desire to climb up will one day hold her back cuz desire is without limit. But the role of newspapers in the book is worth scrutiny for sure

其实没看完，时间所迫啊。越到后面越有味。

每每看到好的作品，若不写点感受，心里就憋地慌…… 这是部很成功的作品，即使是放在当下的时代环境里来看，仍能让人受益匪浅。 从一个聪明漂亮的农村姑娘到大剧院里的名角儿。这一路走来，嘉莉无疑是幸运的，让人感叹命运的力量；但同时这也是嘉莉的性格使然，她并不怨天尤...  

Having learned Sister Carrie in my respectabale professor Mr Liu ，I have a strong desire to write something about my understanding of Dreiser’s masterpiece. It is evident that the novel is not a love story though it contains a great numble of descriptions...
