很多少数族裔文学归根到底就是一个母题：conflict between the individual life and the burden of a whole race 因为你是少数族裔的一份子所以你做的每一个选择每一件事 suddenly comes to represent a whole race 所以有时不得不牺牲个人利益维护这个种族的pride and dignity（华人也是一样但有时真的想f*** PC）

震撼而且感人。但每个角色都能在最恰当的时候说出一句无比智慧的话，这个太不真实了，只能怪作者心里的话真的太多。大概只有平常就热爱思考的人，进了剧场，才跟得下来。

英专课读了六个剧本，这是碰巧最认真预习、最触动我的。现在看来，这个故事简单、老套，就是最俗气的鸡汤文学套上了种族议题的外衣，作者又是黑人女性使它在本身之外多了很多伟岸的形容词。但它意外地触碰了我的窘境和我最需要的那种心灵安慰。觉得自己就像Beneatha，自命不凡，渴望独立与自由，把未来寄托于父母长辈们的辛劳成果。这是个坚强又有尊严的黑人家庭，他们都有梦，但他们也都选择了家人。
