詳讀部分章節：Offe厘定製度起源、運作和社會權力的定義，比較清晰；Moe談到製度主義研究、尤其是占上風的博弈論、契約論和閤作主義研究過分強調”自願“，忽視權力以至暴力作為製度的起源，及製度在保障權力上的作用，自願閤作或路徑依賴並不排除背後的權力邏輯。Smith提齣有趣的問題，觸及製度主義視角的核心：眾人的想法何時和如何凝聚成可觀察、可持續並有強製力的製度？以美國政治中種族相關製度為例，強調政治”秩序“是比製度更宏大的政治背景，要重視”前製度“時代的政治博弈和意識形態言說如何塑造各方認可的製度效應。Piersen總結用製度主義研究公共政策的成果。其餘經驗研究章節翻閱。製度主義目前還是在幾個問題上打轉：動態演變問題，起源與維持問題的二分，結構—主體糾結，各具體政策領域研究如何對話，等。

製度論的確是比政中繞不開的一環，讀瞭Claus Offe和 Paul Pierson寫的兩章，Offe的比較易懂，分類清楚，結構明晰。似乎文章中沒提到的4I（Information, Institution, Idealogy, Interests）彼此的關係更值得好好思考。
