Power is the central organizing principle of all social life, from culture and education to stratification and taste. 第六章用布迪厄的理論分析布迪厄的知識分子生涯，比較有趣。其餘尚可。可以用作不熟悉布迪厄理論、甚至完全沒有讀過布迪厄理論的人的入門讀物。
评分斷斷續續拖瞭好久，後幾章關於知識分子的實在不想啃瞭。David Swartz的《文化與權力》以及本書真是學渣福音，盡管有些囉嗦，還是比直接讀布迪厄好很多。缺點是太美國導嚮，光“為啥布迪厄在美國政治社會學沒有火”就討論瞭小一章……
