印象最深的还是‘the life to come’和‘the other boat’这两篇浪漫主义式的悲剧。。。然后就是The Obelisk这篇神作（一切尽在不言中。。）

国内貌似都没有中文译本，我能说里面好多故事都很赞嘛？！有生死绝恋有诙谐幽默也有悔恨无奈。如果因为不能接受homosexuality的主题排斥这个集子简直是一大损失。

没想到会因为TEL的推荐而看了这本，你们作家圈卖安利真可怕。最爱The Other Boat, Dr. Woolacott, The Life to Come这三个故事，现在觉得Maurice真是太温柔了。

全BE预警。我真是越来越喜欢 E.M. Forster了。title story 在我心中的地位已超越 Maurice，这是整本小说集里我最喜欢的一个故事，看得我泪流满面还说不出为什么。The Classical Annex 是几篇小品文里我最喜欢的，篇幅只有两三页故事却很完整有趣，结尾尤其好。

Most of the other stories remained unpublished because of their overtly homosexual themes; instead they were shown to an appreciative circle of friends and fellow writers, including Christopher Isherwood, Siegfried Sassoon, Lytton Strachey, and T. E. Lawrence. The stories differ widely in mood and setting. One is a cheerful political satire; another has, most unusually for Forster, a historical setting; others give serious and powerful expression to some of Forster's profoundest concerns.
