《语音学教程》中没大篇幅涉及的操作知识补充。如果能重新入门会把《语音学教程》和这本书一起看。对初学者来说只知道知识性的东西却不知道操作才是真的不思而惘。

Peter Ladefoged, one of the world's leading phoneticians, introduces the experimental phonetic techniques for describing the major phonetic characteristics of any language.
