读的是一本日本出版的英文原版书，不知道有没有经过删节。书里对主人公的心理描写非常细致，这里的心理描写有时也是故事逻辑的一部分，因为没有如此的心理就没有如此的决定。但是无论如何，故事都不能算得上上乘，虽然作为叙事非常完整，逻辑也没有太大的漏洞，然而想象力还是太差了。时间长了难免有点枯燥。而同名电影则更加赶不上原著，因为里面很多情节不仅没有表现，尤其重要的是，心理戏份大打折扣，以至于后来主人公亲手杀掉哥哥本来是个很悲伤的事情，但演出来却显得苍白无力。另外电影的节奏完全没有原著那种慢慢悠悠蚕茧抽丝的感觉，最后的结尾也是一笔带过草草收场。
