评分科普读物还挺难的，就我的水平必须每一章做思维导图才能回忆起来看过啥。作者基本上是以一种全球化的思路写文艺复兴，它的起因居然还挺实用主义的，以及我以前真的不知道伊斯兰文明曾经那样辉煌过
评分感觉就是高中的历史教科书水平。我想这么短篇的历史的确不容易写好，要么显得仓促，要么就是非常没品的以论带史。历史就应该是努力还原细节，以全知的视角审视；这样八卦是最好的历史了。
评分作为早期现代史的入门读物非常好了，不过，作者说Thomas More 之死缘于a political miscalculation，不是很同意
