沒想到莎士比亞的「亨利五世」也曾受到伊麗莎白政府審查。原因是劇中涉及都鐸王朝在蘇格蘭和愛爾蘭的政治窘境，這在當時屬於敏感話題。
评分感覺就是高中的曆史教科書水平。我想這麼短篇的曆史的確不容易寫好，要麼顯得倉促，要麼就是非常沒品的以論帶史。曆史就應該是努力還原細節，以全知的視角審視；這樣八卦是最好的曆史瞭。
评分印象深刻的是看到文藝復興的dark side，一方麵銀行業興起、跨國貿易的繁榮、藝術大師輩齣，另一方麵對人力量的狂熱發展到頂端，帶來瞭嚮外殖民、黑奴交易和西方中心主義的泛濫。
评分這套書真的隻適閤學文科的人讀，書很短而且想講什麼就講什麼基本麼有邏輯，所以最好有點背景然後隨便讀來玩玩
评分科普讀物還挺難的，就我的水平必須每一章做思維導圖纔能迴憶起來看過啥。作者基本上是以一種全球化的思路寫文藝復興，它的起因居然還挺實用主義的，以及我以前真的不知道伊斯蘭文明曾經那樣輝煌過
