This book is about saying yes to life in all its manifestations—embracing the potent mixture of joy, suffering, brilliance, and confusion that characterizes the human experience. Pema Chödrön shows us the profound value of our situation of "no escape" from the ups and downs of life.

The journey that you make is made alone, no matter what your belief about that journey is. Between birth and death, we are alone. Wholeheartedness is a precious gift but no one can actually give it to you. Taking a bigger perspective of your suffering. Not as good as Gill Fronsdal.SY 8/14

But the desire to change is fundamentally a form of aggression toward yourself。
