Great book, a love letter to the city of San Francisco

所谓的大城小事，对于旧金山来说，就是爱欲交织的小人物荒唐事，而且注定二逼并且基情四射。从一开始，作者就摆明了不会假装艰深，连人物名字都显得滑稽，而且角色的设定有村姑，有基友，有嬉皮士，有瘾君子，有社交名媛，也有企业大亨。最有趣的莫过于Anna Madrigal这样的博爱嬉皮房东了。故事兴许不登大雅之堂，有些章节还有些蠢，但在保守与开放的碰撞中记叙一代人的挣扎与追求。可能也是这种认真的调侃，让整体显得特别幽默轻松，实为卫生间读物之极品。
