Her participant/observer studies for this book, carried out over the past decade, involved more than 200 individuals representing 80 different firms. She is Associate Professor of Architecture and Planning at the University of Southern California.

评分迅速浏览了一遍，是一本很基础、基础到常常被遗忘的书。内容很广泛，包括建筑师和其他actor、建筑学校教育、建筑师的成长、建筑事务所创造的milieu等等。越来越喜欢这种人类学视角的研究，毕竟建筑不应该仅仅是图像（或者所谓的空间）或是晦涩的理论，建筑首先是人的活动，所以这种活动本身的主体就很值得仔细的解构
