评分3/5 Documenting Guo's bumpy journey toward artistic freedom and spiritual integrity, this book has evoked so much internal conflict within me perhaps due to the deep-seated Chinese values in my psyche. The writing towards the end feels dispassionate and muddled; if Village of Stone is the crystallisation of Guo's literary style, this is a let-down.
评分3.5 如何在评价回忆录时把对作者的看法剥离出去？这是一个从一出生就带着巨大的时代造成的trauma叛逆的故事，也是一个对自己人生的诚实审视，诚实到心头压着气儿喘不过来，作为旁观者愤怒而感到抽离，也作为另一代人而感到惋惜和不解。
