大牛写的小册子，可能比较适合学统计人当入门教材，看着像是给undergraduate读的，虽然作者说是给master和phd读的，中规中矩吧，应该不像会他写的另外一本流行。其实都搞不清他写这本书干嘛，他也不focus在这里啊。

澄清两点以正视听： 1. 这本书的读者可以是本科生，只要选择相对容易的章节就行。但是阅读并理解全书应该是博士生的要求。 2. 作者是nonparametric的专家，尽管他对统计学的深刻理解远不止这一个方面。

The best book on non-parametric statistics I have read so far, bar none. Concisely covered so many modern topics in less than 300 pages. An intellectual delight.
