英国知名儿童图画书作家，1963年生于英国伦敦。在校主修音乐，毕业后任职音乐老师。1987年第一本书出版后，便开始致力于童书创作。

以《The Baby Who Wouldn't Go to Bed》、《Pumpkin Soup》二书两度荣获英国绘本最高荣誉凯特格林威大奖。
