affirmative action and bilingual education. this book is truthful and introduces me to a man's maturing experience
评分[堪称年度书籍]Years of schooling ended with academic success, then its consequent price. Richard had grown culturally separated from his family, barely to find individual identity, and hardly to ignore the fact--education nurtured him an unnatural person, a person has no trace of his ancestry in spirit but flooded with nostalgia.

评分Generalizing then big picture by using a case study, Rodriguez had a limited horizon. I love his resistance on bilingual education & it got me thinking about myself. But I don’t like the way he gave up his first language, served English as a tool to gain public identity in the States.
