写书评的两位兄台都显得太过激动了些。不错，这里头的确有些地方扯得太远，更有些地方就是误读——我都在猜想作者有多少年没在中国呆过了。不过转念一想，这书05年出，调查是90年代做的，我当时还是一个呆在海边小城市只知道数学物理化学很有趣的小熊孩，缺少去了解社会方方面...

严重同意攻玉之石的观点！ 俺读的时候也觉得，此书作者的观察角度，对中国历史与现状的理解都有很大问题——特别是关于“万贵妃”和明廷宽容流产一段，简直连基本常识都欠缺。滑稽的是，还说自己做田野调查，明明是先立论、后找证据的自说自话——而且还没说圆。 俺绝对不想说...
