看的是楊坤翻譯的中文版。最吸引人的並不是故事本身，而是在貌似漫不經心的文字裏，釋放齣來的沉重的悲傷。讀起來心裏好像一直壓抑著，卻又始終留有一綫光亮。老頭子在午夜鍾聲響起時留下眼淚，還有在房間歇斯底裏的砸東西，對小女孩的所有不可理喻或是小心翼翼的眷戀情緒，很打動人。這種愛一點都不骯髒，相反，因為沒有任何雜質而顯得格外美好。

Gabriel Garcia Marquez:

Gabriel Garcia Marquez was born in 1927 near Aracataca, Colombia. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982. He is the author of One Hundred Years of Solitude, Love in the Time of Cholera, Living to Tell the Tale, among other works of fiction and non-fiction. This book is translated by Edith Grossman, widely recognized as the pre-eminent Spanish to English translator of our time.
