寫得四平八穩，以至相當無趣，理論框架的搭建也顯得比較薄弱，傾嚮於描述性。大概作者寫著寫著也意識到行動不是那麼好研究，那就討論行不動吧。more interesting，42頁的迴歸做得莫名其妙，未免添足瞭。

這本書的大部分觀點，已經在相關論文讀到，資源動員理論偏重對於組織的作用，在威權國傢普遍缺乏社會自組織的情況，許多依靠社會網絡的動員就尤為重要。政治過程理論重視政體類型對於社會運動的影響。共産威權主義的衰退和地方政府的碎片化，為集體抗爭提供瞭政治機會。

評分☆☆☆☆☆

溫吞水的風格一如既往，基本沒什麼理論，勉強算是提供瞭幾個機製，大部分還是描述性的內容。蔡的書有一種明顯的“給洋人講課”的意思在，對中文語境下相關研究有接觸後就會覺得無聊瞭。
