the author admits feeling alienated from her heritage when she first moved to China in 2000.Started as a graduate trained in an American journalism school, she eventually became the food editor at TimeOut Beijing.

评分书的名字很大，不过切入点很好，就是一个华裔女孩的美食寻根之旅。旅行的本质是思念，是寻找，前人已上路，我也该上路。虽然是个ABC，但因为是中国人的面孔，让作者花更多的心思在中国菜上面，讲了北京的厨师学校，讲了山西面食，讲了江浙菜。哈哈，豆瓣的电子阅读里面有部分诗...
评分习惯性力荐，还没看到这本书。饮食文化的作品，是我最爱。有电子版的试阅读，最有趣的是作者不光是品尝美食，还在中国学餐饮学校学习做菜，还去考了中国认可的厨师证。不过电子书好贵滴~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

评分书是被赠的，当时应该还有英文版。毕竟见到了作者本人，还在她的黑芝麻餐厅体验了一把，挺有趣的。 我翻了几页，字看着真累，内容可能还蛮有趣，不过挺像自传。 可能不是我的菜，暂时冷藏....要看的书太多了...对不住啊...
