I<br >remember that my wife， sitting next to me， wept when she really<br >began to know Abba (Father). When we get to know God as<br >Daddy， our whole understanding of the Word of God changes.<br > Unfortunately， many members of the Body of Christ today<br >don t really know their Father. If they did， they wouldn t say the<br >things they do about Him -- God gets the blame for everything.<br > We need to understand our relationship with our heavenly<br >Father， which can be even closer than the relationship we have<br >with our father here on earth. We should be able to sit down and<br >say， "Daddy， I want to ask You about this，" or， "Dad， will You<br >show me that?" or， "What do You think about this， Dad?" Have<br >you ever spoken to your Father in heaven on the same basis that<br >you speak to your father on this earth?<br > Our Father God is even more understanding， He has more<br >wisdom and He is more loving than any earthly father could ever<br >be! We need to see Him that way. We need to see that we can<br >have fellowship with Him on that level And we need to reach the<br > point where we can see， through the Word of God， what type of<br > character He has.<br > Many people have been married for fifty years and still don t<br > really know each other. You can be married all your life and<br > never really know your spouse. You can be a Christian all your<br > life and never know God the Father.<br > I ve heard people in the mission field say， "You know， I m so<br > terrified that God will send me somewhere I really don t want to<br > go." Well， the Bible says if you delight yourself in the Lord， He<br > will give you the desires of your heart. (Ps. 37:4.) He will give it to<br > you-- He puts the desire in your heart.<br >
