tions to both generalizations. He is
a player of the highest class, and his
booklet indicates why he is regarded
as one of the world s outstanding
teachers. The basic structure of bid-
ding is lucidly explained, and the in-
experienced player is introduced to
many modern ideas. It is doubtful
whether the subject could be treated
better in such limi.ted space.
