2019年第29本/ 法国文学选修课上要求读的书。极度病态的两个爱人之间反反复复的背叛与原谅，越读越觉得枯燥。The Chevalier追求的是乌托邦式的爱情以及毁灭，而Manon追求的是世俗的pleasures（欢愉）、感官的刺激。如此两个人注定是无法长相守的。即使在被流放美国之后，Manon终于对the Chevalier有了一点真心，这段无法被世俗容忍的爱情终究是以悲剧收场。The Chevalier寻死未果，重返巴黎已是烂柯人。一场叫作“Manon”的梦也该醒了。

Fast-paced and flowing read. Interesting that Prévost chose the one who lead the whole obsessive madness as the narrator. But here it's love been issued, so opinions really differ when attempting to find balance between subjectivity and justice. 文笔很雷人……不过看完之后倒是更觉得 Dowell 之后再无 Des Grieux 了。书里的曼侬倒不能完全说是要钱不要命，更多是要刺激不要命，只是没钱很难寻到感官刺激而已。

传统的法国浪漫爱情故事，不过开始是美好的，但结局是现实的。年轻的贵族格里欧狂热地爱上了下层女郎曼侬，为此不惜抛弃一切，甚至成为罪犯。可是这里面没有灰姑娘的情节，最终的命运很现实，贵族子弟杀了人，赌了博，从教养院“拐走”了曼侬，甚至绑架了另一个贵族子弟，可是...  

这些作品我都是只看了一遍，因为在大家都学习都看书的年代，我在玩，浪费了很多时光！所以我非常羡慕那些饱读诗书的人，感觉人家都好有才华啊，可能就是因为我书看得少，所以我很不懂事！直到我22岁我才看是看世界名著，我才知道原来我也是好孩子，原来我也喜欢看书，我也能稳...
