从Dalia“凡人”视角阐述火星的分裂和黑暗机械教的崛起。叙事节奏不太合理，甚至略显诡异：前半部展开比较拖沓，Dragon of Mars的设定莫名突兀，到最终战斗则显得颇为仓促。从场面广度到细节深度，较个人期待的HH首部机械教小说还是有些差距。
